Last week we published our interview with Shazza Mckenzie, and in it we touched on some great subjects about her thoughts of Rhea Ripley becoming the RAW Women’s Champion, and what her 2020 should have been like.
In the interview she also got to talk about her fellow wrestling stars Cassie Lee / Peyton Royce and Billie Kay / Jessie McKay, with some advice; do what makes you happy, and don’t feel pressured to continue your wrestling just to appease fans:
“With the Iiconics, obviously I don’t know what’s in the future for them, if they’ll go their separate ways or come together. I hope they get to do whatever makes them happy.
And I don’t want them… if they feel they’ve done everything they need to do in wrestling and this is their time to step away and do whatever then that I also like… I don’t want them to feel pressured to keep wrestling because the fans are asking them to continue.
Because especially Billie, if you can go out on top, you can go out with Wrestlemania being your last match, that’s probably ideal.
But you don’t know, they might have this whole thing, you don’t know what’s in the future. I hope that they both continue to perform and continue to wrestle and continue to make money, but I just want everyone to be happy.
And that’s the biggest thing, I want them to be happy in whatever they do now. Like I don’t want them to feel like they have to live up to expectations. They are free to do whatever they want, and I hope that brings them happiness and success whether that is in wrestling or outside of wrestling.”
