PWA Premiership Week 12 Quick Results (18/01/2021)- Troy VS Rogers, Bonza VS London & More

Apologies for both the delay and the brevity in this article. Unfortunately, OVOPlay– the current broadcast partner of PWA– is closing up shop at the end of January. I was unable to watch this week’s episode live and it has not been added to the video on demand section of the PWA channel. In past weeks, the Premiership episodes have been available as soon as 10 minutes after the live broadcast, leading me to believe it may not be added at all.

With that said, a massive thank you to both Kris Gale and Kyle Eade, who were able to provide results and some details to allow the Premiership coverage to continue here on Snap Mayors.

Of course, should the episode be added to the VOD section, I will edit this article and provide my usual detailed review and thoughts. And rest assured, I will be watching next week’s major double episode finale live, feverishly taking notes in order to cover what has been an outstanding tournament. The PWA Premiership has showcased the pinnacle of Australian wrestling, and is an example of the Aussie fighting spirit, persevering to provide an entertaining product during tough times for everyone around the world.

Quick Results

Jessica Troy (7) vs. Mat Rogers (7) ends in a draw due to a double countout- (8) (8)

[Kris Gale: A highlight was Troy & Rogers brawling backstage, falling off a platform and basically forgetting they had a match to win.]

Jack Bonza (3) def. Jude London (2) via pinfall- (5)

Lyrebird Luchi (7) def. Big Fudge (4) via pinfall- (9)

[Kris Gale: Luchi tried to trick Fudge by expressing his friendship and love for Fudge and crediting him as the right choice for Sanitation Commissioner. Dastardly.]

^ This was a callback to a feud between Luchi & Fudge a good two years ago. Love that attention to detail!

Matty Wahlberg (6) def. Jimmy Townsend (4) via submission- (8)

Pro Wrestling, MMA and karaoke. These things fuel me. Loved wrestling for 23 years, loved MMA for 19 years, but having Cerebral Palsy means I probably won't ever be a pro wrestler or MMA fighter. Luckily, there's always video games.
