Melbourne Wrestling’s Kurtis Day Retires After In Match Concussion

We found out earlier today, with great sadness, that the ‘Oceanic Dream’ Kurtis Day, who was a part of Deathmatch Downunder’s initial line up of talent for their recent ‘And Out Comes the Wolves’ debut event, has taken a precautionary measure to cease in ring competition after a concussion sustained in a match this part Monday.

According to Day, he has had a history of concussions as a result of playing football and wrestling, though states he will still continue to support the DMDU promotion.

You can read Kurtis’ full statement below from his Twitter account.

We wish Kurtis Day all the best and hopes he continues to enrich the Australian wrestling scene anyway he can.
