Recently, Tasmania wrestler Charli Rose appeared on the On The Turnbuckle podcast where she was interviewed about her time in wrestling and the Tasmania scene.
One question asked to Rose was about her experience when she first entered a training school as the school only female trainee:
“Oh I was absolutely terrified.
You know I’m terrified for everything in wrestling, it was such a blur of a moment because I knew the minute I stepped into that warehouse upstairs and actually start, this was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
But it was more starting and then after that ok… you are the only girl we’re going to have to like handle things differently, I’m not going to have that guidance. The girls that I help train now, I’m grateful to be apart of because I love teaching, that’s something I’ve always wanted do to. And now that we have girls I’m like “YES” I can pass on the little knowledge I have and then when I can travel a bit more I can bring it back.“
